Twine: You Are Alone in An Immense Palace of Sparkling Bone

Play Anne Hathaway: Erotic Mouthscape
Her mouth is a fortress

Strong elegant jaws protect you from predators

You live in a toothed womb

Anne Hathaway: Erotic Mouthscape is for me, inexplicable. There are words to describe something like this, words that will fill in the space between pink fleshy gums and obelisk-like towers of bone, but they have escaped me. Perhaps they are to be found in this erotic detailing of the cavernous interiors of Anne Hathaway’s mouth, as written by Lilian Behrendt.

There are many reasons you should play this game, and perhaps a few that you should not. Lilian Behrendt has an astonishing grasp on the English language. If you’re alone, or in the presence of understanding company, I suggest reading it aloud. There you can catch the subtle tones, the rise and fall of words and the way that they seem to capture something so surreal as to be impossible to describe. Secondly, it is probably one of the most interesting pieces of fiction I’ve read in a very long time, and the world it creates is complete and complex. Also fleshy.

However, if you are bothered by: feminine masturbation, mouths, descriptions of teeth and saliva, or otherwise find yourself unable to conceptualize strange works of fiction, you should perhaps avoid this. The discomfort,  however, would be worth it.

You can find more of Lilian Behrendt’s work at her website. Anne Hathaway: Erotic Mouthscape was made as a part of Porpentine’s BIG CHAOS TWINE JAM.

This Twine was a fascinating read, definitely a very fleshy experience. There is so much room for speculation and I find myself asking so many questions. What IS a toothfucker? Are there others? How did it get into Hathaway's mouth? (or was it always there?)

"'Nine.' This is a tooth you have never seen before." - was a particularly chilling moment - the world of the toothfucker felt like it was suddenly about to take a very dark turn and reveal something sinister about Anne Hathaway's being. It seems to insist something otherworldly, if not Other, about Hathaway.

What I am curious about is: why Hathaway? Sure, she does have pretty stellar teeth, but I wonder if there is a reason specifically she would be the topic of this piece. Whatever the case, the text-images were definitely impressive realizations of Hathaway.

I am also interested in why Anne Hathaway specifically. She has a distinctive mouth, though for mouth - related celebrities I would probably pick Julia Roberts.
